Last weekend upgraded the 5th computer, which received Build 10240, and the Search Box wasn't visible, but there's a magnifying glass icon in it's place, and when I click on that, the search box appears. That's the way it should be, and I'd like to have that on all 5 Win 10 computers, but I don't know how to accomplish that.

Mar 5, 2019 · Rant over, how do I get rid of the magnifying glass (search) icon on my task bar? I've circled it below. Everything I've tried can't seem to remove it. Right clicking on the taskbar does not seems to have the functionality of removing it. Taskbar properties seem to be of little help as well, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

In the Name column, search for SearchHost.exe, then right-click on it, and select End task. 4. When you’re prompted to end SearchUI.exe, select End process.

Aug 16, 2015 · After you stop laughing at me, I was "cleaning up" Windows 10, and removed the magnifying glass which I believe is Windows search. I would like to restore that to my taskbar. When I look at "all programs" there is nothing there that matches. I have not found any other way to find something and pin to the taskbar.
