This is our 3rd stay at Secrets Cap Cana and by far our best vacation yet. The level of personal service we receive is one of the main reasons we choose to stay here. The staff greet you by name, remember minor details like "no cheese-no croutons" in my minestrone soup at the Portofino, when we returned later in the week. Juan, our concierge did a super job at helping me provide my wife with THE best birthday ever. A wonderful romantic breakfast in the room. After returning from a day of sun and fun, the room was decorated for her birthday with rose petals on the bed and a path of rose petals to the soaking tub which was filled with scented oils and more rose petals and a perfectly chilled bottle of champagne and a birthday cake. I booked the romantic dinner of the beach which completed the perfect birthday for her. Felix Pilier the food and beverage manager does an excellent job to ensure that his staff are aware and can accommodate food allergies like celiac. Virtually every staff member is aware of what is and isn't gluten free on the menu. Our waitress at the pool bar, Yokasta, remembered my wife by name and remembered me as the one who wanted "extra chocolate" in my mudslides and dirty bananas on day 1 of this trip...pretty impressive for a woman who must've seen thousands of people since our stay last year and can remember these minor details about us. Clarissa, the hostess at Portofino also remembered us from our previous stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very well maintained. The cleaning staff cleaned based on what was convenient for us timewise, each and every day. Never did we return to the room and find that it hadn't been cleaned; a nice plus when you are accustomed to a routine like I am. They take the condition of the resort quite seriously, the restrooms near the pool are constantly being maintained. The lady stands outside the restroom, mopping and wiping down everything as needed. The beach is beautiful white sand and blue ocean! The eveing entertainment in the lobby is superior to what you find in many resorts. The lobby waitstaff are eager to fix you the perfect cocktail of your choice. Our stay at Secrets Cap Cana was fabulous ! Our butler Anibal was the best he took great care of us and our large group. The day before we arrived I sprained my ankle and was in a boot. Anibal made sure I had a golf cart ride when I needed it, got me a wheel chair so my. hubby could wheel me around. Anibal would find us several times a day and check to make sure we had everything we needed He was always available for all our needs , reservations anything! Making dinner reservations for our large group was not easy but Anibal made it happen. He made my stay very enjoyable. All the staff at Cap Cana were great! We booked on week vacation and selected the preferred club junior suite ocean view. The room and view did not disappoint! very comfortable and clean with a spectacular view. The cleanness and attention from all the staff was exceptional. Staff is tested for Covid every 14 days, everyone wears mask for protection and hand sanitizers are provided not only in the rooms but at the entry of each restaurant, lobby and recreation rooms. Special thank you for the royal treatment received from Madelyn, La Diva, Emerejirdo, Cirilo Geraldo, Rafael, our butler JP, preferred pool staff and huge thank you to Feliz Pillier!!! We had a wonderful 8 day 7 night stay at Secrets! We stayed in a preferred club King Swim out Jr. Suite in Building 8. It was right next to the preferred club lounge and the closest building to all the main dinner restaurants. And just steps from the preferred pool, restaurant and bar! We absolutely loved our room. It was beautifully decorated, the beds were comfortable and it had the most amazing showers with dual rainshower heads. Our preferred club room came with a butler! Mr. Philippe was so great! He checked in every morning with us. Sent us the schedule and made sure we had everything we needed, right down to the right pillows and drinks/snacks in our room. He even found us floats for the pool! The preferred club waitress Miss Stephany was absolutely amazing. Always happy to see us, made sure we had drinks regularly and even came around to our swim out suite to deliver us drinks when we were out there! I can't say enough good things about her! Next, Mr Eddie "Murphy" who I think Never stops working. We saw him morning, noon and night always smiling and making things fun! He really leveled up the experience at the Himitsu grill and remembered our drink orders when we saw him at lunch the next day and everyday made sure we had the right drinks! These 3 people made our stay! Food, service and resort cleanliness was 10/10! A few downsides, their desires bar/club is closed permanently so there was no place for evening/late night entertainment that was air-conditioning and the seating in the main bar/lounge was severely lacking. I'd hate to see this place when it's busy. The entertainment at the stage was underwhelming. It's all cover band shows. The only exception was Queen which was really good. The others left more to be desired for this reason we were back in our rooms by 10:30 nightly because there simply was no night life at this resort which is fine if you don't want that. Both the main pool and preferred club pools were sooooo warm it was like bath water! I was grateful for our swim out that was at least 10 degrees cooler water in the mid afternoon when the sun was the hotest. The beach water left something to be desired as well. Although the sand is very soft, it was dirty was disappointed about the Many plastic bottles/items we found on the beach (the seagrass is par for the course this time of year). The water was not very clear you could see anything past a couple inches deep which made me not want to get in the water. Overall, I would 100% return to this resort for the ultimate relaxing atmosphere and amazing food and service!
