Jun 2, 2013 · I accidentally uninstalled my audio driver from sound, video and game controllers and i want to reinstall it there. I've tried to reinstall the audio driver that my computer uses from the lenovo website but it couldn't install saying my computer doesn't have the sound card for it.

Restart the system after that so Windows can reinstall the driver and make it available. The issue might be caused by a corrupted or hidden audio driver. Let me know the results afterward.

HP Laptop computer uses Conexant HD Audio, and resently having problem with the sound not working. Getting message in taskbar saying No Audio Output Device installed. And device manager does not show the "Sound, video and game controllers" anywhere in the device list, while this message is showing. No sounds either.

Now under my device manager, there is no menu item like "Sound, video and game controllers" and also therefore no devices in it. I will really appreciate, if I can get the laptop sound back.
