  2. Lewis Wolpert CBE FRS FRSL FMedSci (19 October 1929 – 28 January 2021) was a South African-born British developmental biologist, author, and broadcaster. Wolpert was known for his work on the intracellular positional information that guides cellular development. Wolpert died at a hospital in London on 28 January 2021 from COVID-19, aged 91.
