The Slave Dynasty was ruined by Jalal-ud-din Firoz Khilji, who overthrew the last Mamluk ruler, Muiz ud din Qaiqabad (in 1290).The Slave Dynasty lasted from AD 1206 to AD 1290, with Muiz-ud-din Muhammad Qaiqabad as the last ruler of the Slave Dynasty.
Muiz-ud-din Qaiqabad (1286 - 1290 AD) Muiz-ud-din Qaiqabad was the last ruler of Slave dynasty. He was the grandson of Balban. He was very weak physically (paralyzed). He was assassinated by his officer named Jalal-ud-din Khalji and hence the Slave dynasty in India came to an end and Khilji Dynasty came into power.
The Khalji dynasty came into being when Jalal ud din Firuz Khalji overthrew the last of the Slave dynasty rulers, Muiz ud din Qaiqabad, the grandson of Balban, and assumed the throne at Delhi.
After 1246, Ghiyas al-Din Balban ruled the empire. Further along the line, the Slave dynasty came to an end when Jalal al-Din Firuz Khalji deposed the last Slave dynasty emperor, Muiz ud din Qaiqabad, and ascended the throne in 1290. Thus began the reign of the second dynasty – the Khiliji Dynasty.
