They will be shipped from china and you could get something random instead of your product. Use at your own risk, do research and if the company is a fake, don't purchase.

Apr 4, 2024 · Just bought a pair of Steve Madden sneakers from the Steve Madden website and it prompted me to download this app called shop and I see the exact same pair of Steve Madden sneakers for $43.98 vs the $109 that I paid. Is this a scam or is this a legit sale shopping app? Included a picture of the sale item and what the app looks like.

The Shop App is not just a tracking system, it's a Marketplace of Shopify Sellers, you can search and buy products directly, it also pulls tracking numbers from your Email (if you connect it) and puts them in oone place. Yes, the app uses Google connection to find and add tracking numbers to the Shop App, this cannot be done any other way.

Oct 23, 2022 · As a consumer I think it’s awesome, I also use the Shop app to track my purchases and it automatically adds them when using shop pay. As a store owner I think it’s awesome too, it helps converting quickly to people who buy on Shopify stores plus payouts are quick even if the customers do installments. I see literally no drawback. Win-win

The first one we noticed about two weeks ago when someone actually called us and told us they never placed this order. The shipping address was his mother’s and the billing address was his old address.

This could be misleading though, I wonder if people navigating to the store from other marketing channels then decide to check on the app if we’re there. Or perhaps Shopify automatically pushes them through Shop if they have an existing account?

None of those users think of the app the way Shopify describes it - they only see it as a tracking app, as evidenced by app reviews on the app stores.
