Overall, I much prefer Mapquest, over alternatives. Primarily for navigating to my customers houses, for deliveries. Simple to use, with many features simple to access... with a clean interface. I cant give you a 5 star rating for this reason: About 30% of the time, the app will alter inputed address. Ie changing or removing house numbers, street names, or road type(ie changing "street" to "drive" ). There has to be a better way for the app to handle addresses, not in its database.

I can use my fingers to pinch and move the map around in circles, side ways etc like Apple Maps that’s in my iPhone. Google maps is difficult to do any of those finger gestures which is a pain when you are driving in the moment. Plus Apple Maps is a pain because it automatically switches routes on you as you drive further into your 1st route that you picked and it’s stressful! When I’m driving I know that I picked route #1 option and refused route 2 or 3 for reasons but Apple Maps will automatically switch the route even when you are trying to exit off or onto a freeway or major intersection which is dangerous!!! It never used to be like that. I can’t stand google maps on my iPhone. Google maps does better on a laptop for research if you’re looking into greater details for research of cities, driving distance, businesses in the area or trying to google drive in their map system to see what an area looks like virtually to plan your move or road trip in general. All in all, gonna try to use Mapquest in my car while driving more often than Apple Maps.

Easy to use when you come around to get used to it. Love the fact it names the streets as you go along. It helps you keep your eyes on the road. Safer to use than others that need for us to keep on staring at the map. Tells us how many feet also .In fact, great app!! Finds your car in a glimpse!!!

One of my top used apps since moving to find new places and restaurants, and essential for driving or traveling to new places, but recently the ability to control music has been greatly reduced. You used to be able to tap the music or audio player below the map view and be able to go back, pause/play, or skip to the next song. Recently, this menu feature was completely removed and when tapping music in maps, it minimizes the map to PIP mode and shows the music app. This is a feature removal...

The worst thing is getting to your saved places, I should be able to click on destination where you type, and have a drop down menu that opens saved places, instead I have to navigate the main menu. Then if you want to save a place you can't figure out how, because there's no simple button for it like there should be. I recommend transit app over this

Two things: First, you need to have a pause button on Google Maps so that when somebody wants to go to the restroom, Miss Yip Yap isn’t busy telling them to go north, south, east, and west within 30 seconds trying to get them back on the track. Second, for heaven sake‘s, quit rerouting me without my permission. The selection needs to be “tap to accept,” not “accept unless I tell you no thanks.” At least 10 times in the last 10,000 miles, I have had to backtrack 20 or 30 miles to get to where I wanted to go instead of where you decided I should go. I’m hearing impaired; I don’t always hear Miss Yip Yap asking if I want to reroute, and I shouldn’t have to constantly go back and tell you that I want to go on the route I selected, and not the one you think I should use. If you don’t want to change the way the switches work, put in a selection in the settings that says “tap to accept” or “tap to decline.” I am beyond frustrated with having to hunt down on a map where I really want to be and how to get there, because invariably when I figure out Miss Yip Yap has rerouted me, I am in an area of no phone service, so I can’t reroute on Google Maps, because it says, “Off-line: touch to retry.”
