Hidradenitis suppurativa is a condition in which painful lumps are formed under the skin. It is also known as acne inversa. They are commonly found in the areas where skin rubs against each other such as under the breasts, armpit, groin region, and buttocks. It is developed due to the blockage of hair follicles and is most commonly seen in women. The symptoms of this are blackheads, pea-sized lumps, and leaking painful sores.
