    Strep a or Streptococcus pyogenes (beta-hemolytic group A are spherical bacteria that colonize throat, skin, and anogenital tract. Range of infection includes tonsillitis, pharyngitis, impetigo, cellulitis, pneumonia, peripartum sepsis, and necrotizing fasciitis.
