Ovulation induction is a process of using medications and hormonal therapy to stimulate and induce ovulation. The goal of ovulation induction is the release of a mature healthy single egg, that will undergo fertilization and lead to pregnancy. This is done by injecting clomiphene citrate which will lead to the release of eggs from the ovary. It is also achieved by injecting gonadotrophins like luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone.
