Just home from an incredible 14 days at Aqua Suites with my 2 daughters, husband and parents. It was our second time at AS and it was just as fantastic as the first time 5 years ago. On arrival we were greeted with a cold glass of cava from the lovely lady on reception who was super helpful. This was just what we needed after a long day and an 11pm arrival. All of the ladies on reception were so helpful and friendly. Our rooms were gorgeous. Absolutely immaculate, so well kept by the fabulous group of cleaning staff and as we were on the top floor (rooms 412 & 414) it was so peaceful with lots of privacy too. The rooms overlooked the pool which was perfect. The food was unbelievably good during our stay. Olivio the chef is a real master at his craft. Every person we spoke to was so complimentary about the food and he went out of his way to make sure the guests were happy with the food. He was also happy to take any suggestions of what people would like to eat. The BBQ on a Wednesday is amazing and the food cooked to perfection. I can't say enough about how amazing the hotel is. We met and got to know so many lovely guests and such fabulous staff of the hotel. We all absolutely loved Andres, Ivan, Alexis, Erene, Anna and her lovely Mum, Corina and all of the people who work their socks off to make the place such a success. Ivan makes the most incredible cocktails in the bar and makes people want to keep going to the bar night after night. He's so friendly and is great with the kids. He makes you feel so welcome. Alexis is a total gem and goes out of his way to make sure you are ok and having a good time. He's great with the kids and is such a polite and kind person. Erene was just wonderful with my girls, especially the youngest who adores her and cuddled her every time she saw her. Anna is super helpful and always has a smile on her face and wants to do everything she can to help. She's so polite too. Corina is a complete firecracker who is so full of energy. She does most of the entertainment and is so hardworking. She tries to get everyone involved and is a lot of fun. Andres is hilarious and so hard working too. He always has a smile on his face and made us laugh so much. The hotel is so lucky to have such wonderful staff and would be so silly to ever let any of these people go as they make the place what is it. The lifeguard is also a lovely guy and he helped my youngest daughter one day when she hurt her foot along with one of the maintenance guys who was really great and helped her too. The maintenance guys clean all day and night to make sure the pool areas are as clean as possible and they never stop. The only downside and it's a tiny couple of things is the air con and certain parts of Puerto Del Carmen. I know there was a heatwave but the heat in the rooms at times was hard to sleep in so the management really need to look at this. When you go to the bottom of the road when you come out of the hotel and get to the water, I'd suggest going to the left. If you go to the right it's not as nice and is full of overcrowded bars and restaurants. The left is a bit calmer. I'd definitely recommend the hotel and would come back again for sure. I hope the hotel keep all of the amazing staff and don't change anything about the place as things like late check outs and good views from the rooms can make or break a holiday. We last arrived Thursday 12th March for a 10 day escape. 3 days into our holiday the hotel was in lock down. We have holidayed at Aqua Suites 4/5 times before and despite the news of coronavirus we had no hesitation in travelling we knew from previous visits the hotel is first class. Geraldine and her team were fantastic, they delivered top class service on every level. Despite the very difficult circumstances, the rooms were kept immaculate, the standard of food and choice delicious and all cooked fresh to order. We opted for the last night at Sassi before all closures on the island, again a lovely meal and superb service. You really cannot fault the level of effort to maintain such high standards. Aqua suites has set the standard for hotel accommodation in Puerto Del Carmen. The food is excellent and varied, the rooms are spacious with huge comfortable beds, the bathrooms are spotless with powerful showers and a plentiful supply of towels toiletries and sun towels. But above all else it is the level of customer service that sets this hotel apart from others. While it is not possible to name everyone - notable mentions must go to Gisueppe on arrival (who remembered my name throughout the holiday - impressive with a hotel full of guests!), Mandy and Christian in the bar/restaurants, Shaun the entertainer and all the ladies who work with smiles on their faces in ensuring the rooms are maintained excellently on a daily basis. We chose Aqua Suites based on the great reviews, and were not disappointed. Check in was quick and efficient, with a cheeky glass of cava thrown in!! We were allocated room 207,which was lovely and quiet. The room was huge, with a kettle and large fridge, an iron and small ironing board is also provided. There is a safe in the room for which you pay a refundable deposit of 20 euros. We had a lovely large terrace with sunbeds, as we got the sun from around 11am, we didn't go to the main pool. Food in the restaurant was excellent, great selection of meats, cheeses, fruit and pastries, along with freshly cooked hot food to order. Have stayed here 3 times now and I’m sure we’ll be back! We love this place, the hotel and rooms are spotless and the staff are all very friendly. The rooms are large with a huge bed, the 2nd bedroom is a plus as we used it as a dressing room but I suppose if there are more than two of you staying you turn the sofa into a sofa bed. The bathroom is large and airy. There is a fridge which upon arrival is filled with some complimentary drinks, a large bottle of water, some cans of Fanta, some beers and a small bottle of red and white wine. The rooms are cleaned daily and the maid leaves a large bottle of water in the fridge each day. There is a kettle with tea and coffee supplies.
