Jan 23, 2025 · The only 0* sleeping bag I have, comes in at 20lbs., and although a great sleeping bag, not something that I'll be hauling around in the woods. This prompted me to start looking for a 0* sleeping bag that I could carry, and prices ranging from $200-$500+.

Sleeping Bag Liner - Bushcraft USA Forums
Jul 25, 2019 · A liner makes good sense, if only to keep the sleeping bag itself clean. But it will also add warmth (weight too) Then there's the comfort factor. I used a Coleman Peak 1 bag for quite a while (till it got legs of its own,) and it was a real good 3-4 season bag, if a bit bulky.
Sleeping bag vs wool blanket | Bushcraft USA Forums
Jun 12, 2010 · The proper sleeping bag w/ liner will keep you warm and cozy night after night in sub-zero temps WITHOUT having to worry about keeping a fire going all night; night after night. You guys can sleep in your wool blankets and stay up all night stoking the fire while I'll be snoozing away comfortable and warm all night long.
Poncho and poncho liner sleeping bag? | Bushcraft USA Forums
May 21, 2020 · But the zipper at the sleeping bag was a pretty good idea. And the mummy shape sleeping bag was the next good idea. If you don't count in that someone will attack you during the night I recommend to close the sleeping bag in cold conditions. Open or closed zipper makes in the Snugpak Jungle Bag a difference of roundabout 5*C.
