LeithLate began life in 2011 as a one-night celebration of Leith – today the 3-day festival showcases Leith’s public spaces, shops and creative community with a bumper programme of events, art, music and food.

Most people visiting Leith come via Leith Walk – a mile-long street that links the district with the east end of Princes Street. On foot, this down-hill route can be completed in around 30 minutes, or you can jump on one of the many Lothian Buses that serve the area on a regular basis.

Taking place on the last Saturday of each month at the historic Drill Hall in Leith, Edinburgh Flea Market is a mecca for pre-loved items. Open from 10am to 3pm, visitors can expect to find over 40 stalls packed with clothes, antiques, bric-a-brac and other collectibles.

Running as part of Leith Festival, Trinity House, once the base of the Incorporation of Mariners and Shipmasters, will be hosting an open day on 14 June 2025. Visitors will be able to take a self-guided tour, watch a film about Leith’s maritime history and see the fascinating objects that tell stories of life at sea.

Located in a converted whisky bonded warehouse in Edinburgh’s old dock area of Leith, guests can view Chef Kitchin and his team through a glass window in the main dining room allowing them to enjoy the theatre of cooking – the perfect setting for a truly memorable meal.
