This is a follow-up to BlueStacks 4, which first launched in 2018. According to the company, BS5 offers significantly faster boot, installation, and launch times when compared to BS4. This is due to the app being a “complete rewrite” of the previous system. BlueStacks was kind enough to give us a beta version of BlueStacks 5.

However, BlueStacks 5 is basically developed from the ground up and features lots of code optimizations over the previous version. In other words, while BlueStacks 4 is very fast and light, the newest version is even more so, as you can see in this screenshot.

The new BlueStacks 5 running AFK Arena, with a loading time of only 15 seconds after launching the game. Similar, but on BlueStacks 4, where loading the game under the same circumstances took 24 seconds. As you can see, in this regard, BlueStacks 5 is superior to its predecessor.
