Jan 8, 2025 · Hi, I just purchased a 2009 Beetle convertible 2.5L. AC is not working, Compressor not kicking in. Did a few checks & research to lead me to the Fan control unit may be faulty. All fuses seem intact. The Fan is running when the engine is hot but does not seem to speed up when the AC button is pressed. The compressor does not seem to click in.

I own both the paper service manual and the ebahn repair manual; the paper is nice to have in front of you but if you are repairing something like, say a transmission.... the paper manual won't "go there".
